Overview
Merchant Central users with ScanX connected can now see a merchant's complete Scorecard history — and launch new Scorecards — directly from the merchant record.
Previously, this integration lived only on the lead tab, which surfaced just one Scorecard tied to that lead. Now every Scorecard associated with a merchant (matched via Lead ID) rolls up onto the merchant record itself, giving underwriting and risk teams a full picture of past reviews in a single view.
Launching a new Scorecard is also no longer tied to changing a lead's status — a dependency that made it risky to run checks on merchants who were already live and processing, since a status change could skew reporting. With this update, teams can trigger one-off checks (like verifying an ownership change or a new bank account) or run an off-cycle MonitorX check when something looks off, without ever touching the lead status.
Prerequisites
Before configuring ScanX and MonitorX for merchant records in Merchant Central, confirm that:
- You have a ScanX contract with NMI
- You have the ScanX → Merchant Central integration configured
- User has connected their ScanX and Merchant Central accounts
How does ScanX and MonitorX in Merchant Central work?
The Lead ID from the merchant’s linked lead is used to tie multiple ScanX records to the merchant to display their full Scorecard history. Both ScanX and MonitorX Scorecard types are shown in the reporting and can be launched in the UI.
The configured mapping groups enable a Scorecard to be launched from the merchant record. If no mapping groups have been set up, then no scorecards will be displayed to launch. A new mapping group type is used to separate the existing status trigger flow from launching ad-hoc Scorecards to limit any potential impact one has on the other.
When a user launches a Scorecard from the merchant record, it is ultimately using the lead data from the linked lead record. This is because lead field data can be updated by Merchant Central users so you can run checks on net new data that the merchant reporting may not have.
All of these capabilities are driven by the core integration between the two platforms that already exists and is a prerequisite to using the new functionality. In order to view and launch Scorecards in Merchant Central, the user also needs to be a ScanX user and have their accounts for each tool connected.
Enabling ScanX and MonitorX in Merchant Central
Create a Mapping Group
- In ScanX, expand the top Administration menu
- Go to Integrations → Merchant Central → Map Fields
- The Merchant Central Integration Manager page opens
- Select the Transaction (Scorecard) you want to enable in Merchant Central
-
Click + New Mapping Group and name the new mapping
-
Select Trigger Scorecard from Merchant Central as the mapping group type
- Select the model ID for the Scorecard and click Next
- Create a new mapping group, we recommend using Import existing mapping group to save time by using the same mapping group for launching a Scorecard from the lead. The other two options require you to create your own mapping. You could also export and import the mapping you already created for getting data from the lead.
- Select the same Transaction (Scorecard) as you did in step 4.
-
Select the existing mapping group to use, there should be a GET mapping group that is used to pull in data from the Merchant Central lead record for the status change workflow if you already have integration configured
- Click Save and Confirm to create the new mapping group.
- Update any field mappings if needed, the existing mapping should work as-is. Click the save icon if any changes are made.

How to use ScanX from the Merchant Record
- Open the merchant record.
- Select the Underwriting tab
- Click on the arrow on the right side to expand the details of the Scorecard, this includes details of scoring rules that flagged
- The full Scorecard can be viewed by clicking on the open externally icon. This will bring the user into the Scorecard viewer in ScanX
Using the merchant’s linked lead, the Underwriting tab displays all of the associated ScanX and MonitorX Scorecards. This is based on the Lead ID from the linked lead being passed into the Scorecard.
Each Scorecard has summary details provided when collapsed such as the Scorecard name, ScanX ID, Creation Date, and Decision Reason(s). On the right side the Scorecard Status, Scorecard type (ScanX or MonitorX), and overall flag are shown. The user can also open the Scorecard viewer in ScanX by clicking the launch icon.
There is also color coding on the left tab for the Scorecard status and overall score:
- Blue = Open
- Yellow = Pended
- Red = Declined or Cancelled
When the user clicks on the arrow, they can see additional Scorecard details including the assigned underwriter and a list of the flagged scoring rules, their flag, and score.
