Overview
The purpose of this article is to outline the steps required to update third-party integration credentials in ScanX. From time to time (for example: Experian), these credentials may expire, and you will need to update them to ensure the scorecard integration continues to function properly in ScanX.
Prerequisites
- In ScanX: You must be a Company Administrator with ScanX Editor permissions.
- Third-Party integration provider: You must have the appropriate security permissions to update or change passwords.
Update Integration Credentials
These steps need to be completed for all Scorecards that use the account. It's important to update and replace expired third-party credentials in ScanX as soon as possible to avoid scorecard disruptions.
Step 1: Accessing Credential Manager in ScanX
- Click on "Administration" on the top menu bar
- Select Scorecards
- Identify the live Scorecard(s) you wish to update and click on the Scorecard hyperlink
Step 2: Updating credentials
- The Scorecard editor will open in a new tab. Select Credential Manager
- The next screen will display all of the Third Party Integrations this specific scorecard is connected with. Click on the key icon for each Integration to make the required updates.
- Add the new credentials and click Save. Then save the Scorecard.
After completing those steps, you should be able to return to the Scorecard and rerun any scoring rules that failed due to expired credentials.
Understanding Integration Credential Fields
When you’re entering credentials for a third-party integration, the field names in ScanX may not always match exactly what your third party provider uses. Below is a guide to help you map the labels you see in ScanX with the equivalent terms your provider may use as well as some examples of the inputs. This will help reduce confusion and ensure you enter the correct information in each field
