Introduction
This document provides an overview of the two Digital Signatures supported on the Agreement Express platform.
The information provided in this document does not, and is not intended to constitute legal advice; instead, all information in this document is for general information purposes only.
1. How does it work on Agreement Express
- Agreement Express currently supports two types of digital signatures:
-
- Digital Signature with Cursive Font (aka. Express Signing)
- Digital Signature with Finger-swipe
2. Express Signing - Digital Signature with Cursive Font
- The Cursive Font Digital Signature is enabled by default for Agreement Express customers. You can request for this to be enabled or disabled in your environment at any time by contacting support. (AEX Company Setting ENABLED_CURSIVE_SIGNATURE_REGISTRATION = 1)
- The Cursive Font Digital Signature simplifies the End-Client Registration Process. By auto-generating the End-Client’s Signature by applying cursive font to their Full Name/Initials, this option allows for faster registration because the customer is not required to create a finger-swipe signature on their smartphone or other devices.
- When the Cursive Font Digital Signature is enabled in your company, your customers will have the option during the registration of using the Cursive Font Digital Signature (Default) or creating a Digital Signature with Finger-Swipe.
3. Digital Signature with Finger-Swipe
- The Digital Signature with Finger-Swipe is available for anyone using the Agreement Express Digital Signature.
- During registration, your customers will have the option to create their Finger-Swipe Signature on their ‘Current Device’, or on their ‘Mobile Device’. When ‘Mobile Device’ is selected, the registrant will be prompted to provide their Mobile Phone Number, and will be sent an SMS link to the signature creation page.
4. Digital Signature Information
- Digital Signatures guarantee that an electronic document is authentic. Both of the Agreement Express Digital Signatures include stringent standards for security and compliance.
- The primary benefit of using Digital Signatures is the Authentication it provides.: Digital Signatures leverage a mathematical scheme to provide confidence that a document has not been forged or tampered with in transit. Further, Digital Signatures provide additional confidence that they were completed by the claimed signer.
