The purpose of the document below is to provide an overview of the Pre-fill Salesforce feature for Agreement Express users. Upon reading, you should gain a cursory understanding of how to configure your AEX solution with your company's Salesforce fields.
What is Pre-fill Salesforce?
Pre-fill Salesforce enables Agreement Express Publishers to retrieve data from Salesforce CRM for the purpose of populating dynamic Landing Pages.
How Do I Enable Pre-fill Salesforce?
To enable the Pre-fill Salesforce functionality, refer one of your Agreement Express Company Administrators to the document entitled ‘Agreement Express Pre-fill Salesforce Technical Setup’.
How Does Pre-fill Salesforce Work?
Pre-fill Salesforce allows an Agreement Express Publisher to create a token-based session with Salesforce using their Salesforce credentials. Once this session is established, the user will be able to search Salesforce Records from within Agreement Express Landing Pages. Once you identify a record that you would like to retrieve data from, the data can be populated onto an Agreement Express Landing Page.
How Do I Use Pre-fill Salesforce?
To access the Pre-fill Drawer, locate the following Icon on your Landing Pages. If this is not already configured in your Company Landing Pages, reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.
When your company is configured for Pre-fill Salesforce, you will see a new option available in the Pre-fill Drawer.
Note: depending on your company configuration, the label of this option may be different (ex. Salesforce Accounts). The label can be adjusted by your Company Administrator.
After selecting the Salesforce Contacts Pre-fill Option, you will be prompted to enter your Salesforce credentials.
After entering the correct credentials, you will receive a message indicating that the authentication was successful:
Now you can use the Pre-fill Drawer Search Field to locate records in your Salesforce environment. The default Search Object is set to ‘Contact’, but this can be updated by your Company Administrator.
Select one of your search results by clicking on the result row and then select the ‘POPULATE’ button in the bottom right corner of your screen:
You will see that the data from the Salesforce Record will populate on the Landing Page:
The field configuration for the Pre-fill Salesforce integration can be updated by your Agreement Express Company Administrator.
