Templates can be used in both Agreement Manager and SimQ but organizing them allows SimQ to use advanced logic. In this example we'll show how a demo company was configured to demonstrate several different publishing models.
In this demo company we have set up several separate work flows. SimQ automatically populates the left Navigation Panel and Dashboard New Action dropdown with all folders set as transactions.
SimQ simply requires you to organize your work flow and templates into a logical order through folders. In this case we have one dashboard (in green), a regular folder containing assembly pages (in blue) and some transactions (in yellow).
To create a new function or a dashboard, click Add and then name the folder after the function you'd like to create.
There are different types of folders that SimQ uses to organize templates for publishing:
- Dashboard: must be at the top level - can't be nested within any folder other than All Templates
- Navigation: Creates a step by step workflow (default folder type)
- Assembly: Automatically groups templates together into a package
- Transaction: Once a user sets a folder as a transaction, the folder becomes orange under the folder tree. In the Folder Type window, by setting the folder type Transaction, the user can control all the variables they need to create a transaction.
To change a folder type, simply add the folder, right click and then set the folder type.
Dashboard folders can either be default or customized. Creating a dashboard folder but not adding any template to it will result in the Default Dashboard loading when logging into SimQ Manager. To create a custom dashboard, an HTML template specific for dashboards must be uploaded and added to the folder.
If you have more than one dashboard folder, the one at the top of the folder tree will appear when you hit the Home button on SimQ Manager. The others will be accessible from the left hand Navigation panel
Navigation Folders are created by simply adding a folder. Navigation folders give you the option to change the icon that will appear in SimQ Manager.
Templates can reside in any of the navigation folders, but are customarily in the last. Any template in a Navigation Folder will launch in publisher mode when the user opens it via SimQ Manager.
Assembly folders will automatically package together templates that are marked as REQUIRED and generate a list for those that are optional.
The above configuration in Agreement Manager results in the user interface displayed below it in SimQ Manager. In this case the Application for Account and the Authorization to Transfer Account were both required (Required templates show up in green in Agreement Manager\P and the others are optional).
Under the New Action section of the SimQ Dashboard, users select the assembly folder and click ‘Go”. This brings users to a screen similar to below allowing them to select which optional documents to include in a new transaction.
To toggle templates between being Required and Optional, simply select the templates you wish to toggle in Agreement Manager, right click, and click Toggle Required/Optional. This will automatically change the packaging logic within SimQ Manager.
