Secure Fields

Sometimes sensitive data needs to be collected (such as credit card information) that requires restricted viewing access. Secure fields allow you to control whom can see that information by requiring an additional level of access.

Secure fields don’t actually store the information in the agreement itself; instead, it is stored in a secure database that requires an extra level of access to retrieve any information. When an agreement with secure fields is opened, the fields appear green with all information starred out like a traditional password field. To see the data, you must enter in your username and password again. Every attempt whether successful or not is logged for easy auditing.

Any type of field can be set as a secure field. For radio buttons and checkboxes, they simply appear empty until the viewer has authenticated that they have secure field access.

Once an agreement has been signed, the secure fields will be starred out. Clicking on any of the secure fields will prompt you to enter in your Agreement Express credentials. Once you have been authenticated, all secure field data will be revealed. By default, information in secure fields is masked when an agreement is saved to PDF. An option can be set at the company level so after secure fields are unlocked, the data is included in the PDF.
