1.0 Objective
Objective of this guide is to enable our clients to perform minor field and constraint edits on Landing Pages (eg. default value, field label, field position, max char limit, etc)

4.0 Prerequisites
Company Admin user role is required
Understanding of identifying Landing Pages within Transactions and opening them from Templates is required
Basic understanding of the Responsive Landing Page Editor UI is required
5.0 I want to…
5.1 Update the default value of a field
Identify the field and click into it so that the cursor is blinking
Enter the value
5.2 Update the Label, Placeholder/example text or the Helper text of a field
Identify the field and click on it
On the Properties Panel (right side) identify the property you wish to change under Labels
Enter the value into the appropriate field
Label
this changes the text on or above (depending on presence of value or placeholder)
Placeholder
this changes the blended text that will appear inside the field
Helper
this changes the fine print text that appears below the field
5.3 Update whether a field should be required or not
Identify the field, checkbox, radio button or other section on the LP and click on it
On the Properties Panel navigate to the Validation section
Select the appropriate option:
Not required
no one will be required to enter data or make a selection
Required for recipient
the field will need to have data entered or a selection made by the recipient in the workflow, however the publisher is not required to take action
Required for publisher
the field will need to have data entered or a selection made by the publisher before they send it to their recipient
5.4 Update minimum or maximum characters or values of a field
Identify the field (text, number, date) and click on it
Navigate to Validation on the Properties Panel
Identify the minimum or maximum constraint you wish to change
Text Widget
can adjust Minimum and Maximum characters
Number
can adjust Minimum and Maximum Value as well as Min/Max characters
Date field
can adjust Minimum and Maximum date values, as well as Min/Max Allowed Age (in years) and additionally Prevent Past or Future Dates
5.5 Update the Format constraints of a Number field
Identify the field and click on it
Navigate to the Format section on the Properties Panel
Modify the field constraint via any of the fields or checkboxes:
- Prefix - adds a prefix to the number (eg $, %, etc)
- Suffix - adds a suffix to the number (eg USD, °F, etc)
- Thousands Separator - automatically add a comma for digit grouping to enable rapid judgement of number of digits in a number (eg 1234.56 becomes 1,234.56)
- Decimal Limit - defines the maximum number of decimal placeholders displayed
- Require Decimal - writes out decimals to the decimal limit, even if they are zero (eg 123 becomes 123.0000 with a decimal limit of 4)
- Allow Negative - allows data entry of negative numbers
5.6 Change the required Format of a Date field
Identify the date field and click it
Navigate to Content on the Properties Panel
Modify the Format Date dropdown value to the desired pre-set format
After any edit made, do NOT forget to save the template top right with the floppy disk icon
